The Birth of an Adventure Legacy
Great Outdoors was born from a simple yet powerful realization during an epic 2685 km trek across Norway in 1985. When fellow adventurers doubted the possibility of finding quality trekking equipment made in India, Mr. Sunil Joshi took it as a challenge.
The Norway Inspiration
During a cross-Norway expedition, Sunil Joshi recognized the gap in quality adventure gear manufacturing in India.
Great Outdoors is Born
Starting with just ₹1300 from his balcony, Sunil began manufacturing adventure equipment with a mountaineer's insight.
Expansion & Growth
With manufacturing units in Thane and retail stores across Mumbai, Great Outdoors became the go-to for outdoor enthusiasts.
The Revival
After a brief sabbatical, Great Outdoors returned stronger with a prime location in Dadar and an expanded product range.
